Tendral from nursery — leaf shape seems off, or am I overthinking?
Still Maybe申報品種: Tendral
Got this Tendral last spring from a small Portuguese nursery (Viveiros do Mondego). It's in a 25L pot on a south-facing patio in zone 8b (southern Spain). Ripens late August/early Sept, medium-sized fruit with good honey flavor—no complaints there. But I've been looking at photos online and the leaves on mine seem less deeply lobed than what I see in other Tendral posts. The leaves are more... rounded? Not sure if that's just the pot stress or juvenile growth, or if I got mislabeled. Fruit interior is pale amber with a reddish tinge at the bottom, which *feels* right. Has anyone else grown Tendral from Viveiros do Mondego? Does the leaf lobing really matter as much as flavor? Should I wait another year or try to get a clearer ID now?
