Black Bethlehem

Belirtilen çeşit: Black Bethlehem

[Reference entry - not a grower report] This post was generated automatically from public fig references to seed the variety archive. It is not anyone's first-hand growing experience, and the photos are generic Wikimedia images of Ficus carica, not of this specific variety. Corrections from real growers are welcome. Black Bethlehem is a dark-skinned fig variety commonly described as having a nearly black or very dark purple exterior when ripe. The fruit is reported to be medium-sized with a compact form. Flesh is typically pink to red. Ripening occurs in late summer to early autumn. Little documentation exists in English-language fig literature; the variety appears to be regionally grown in the Middle East, particularly around the Bethlehem region. It is sometimes listed under alternate local names. Without widespread commercial cultivation or detailed agronomic records, some traits remain incompletely documented.
