[Reference entry - not a grower report]
This post was auto-generated from public fig references to populate the variety archive. It's not someone's actual growing experience, and the photos are just generic Wikimedia images of Ficus carica — not this specific variety. Real grower corrections are totally welcome.
Kahramani is a fig variety that shows up a lot from Turkey and around the Mediterranean. The fruit is described as medium to small, usually with dark purple or blackish skin when it's fully ripe. The flesh is supposedly sweet with an amber or reddish color. The variety gets grown a lot in Turkey and the Levant, where it ripens mid to late season. There's not a ton of detailed info on leaf shape or tree habits in English sources. You might also see it under different spellings or local names.
