Got this as a rooted cutting labeled 'Verdal' from a seller in Spain about 18 months ago, grew it in a 20L pot in zone 8b (UK). It's in a greenhouse against a south wall. First crop this year ripened late August, fairly small figs (maybe 45-50g), pale greenish-yellow skin with some russetting. The leaves are moderately lobed but seem a bit broader/rounder than the pics I've seen of 'true' Verdal online — almost more Adriatic-ish? Taste was OK, mild and sweet. Not sure if I'm overthinking it or if the seller maybe mixed things up. Would appreciate eyes on the leaf shape especially — should I be worried, or is variation normal from cuttings?
Happy to post clearer leaf shots or a cross-section photo if that helps.
Lefordítva.
