Keddie

[Reference entry - not a grower report] This post was generated automatically from public fig references to seed the variety archive. It is not anyone's first-hand growing experience, and the photos are generic Wikimedia images of Ficus carica, not of this specific variety. Corrections from real growers are welcome. Keddie is a fig variety commonly described as a breba (early) and main crop producer. The fruit is reported to be medium-sized with a pale green or yellowish skin, sometimes with russeting. Flesh is typically pale pink to amber and sweet. The variety is known to ripen relatively early in the season for both breba and main crops. Historical records suggest Australian or Mediterranean origin, though precise documentation is limited. It may occasionally be confused with other pale-skinned early varieties.
