[Reference entry - not a grower report] This post was generated automatically from public fig references to seed the variety archive. It is not anyone's first-hand growing experience, and the photos are generic Wikimedia images of Ficus carica, not of this specific variety. Corrections from real growers are welcome. Blanca is a fig variety commonly described as having a pale or whitish skin, often with a greenish tint when immature. The fruit is medium-sized and reported to ripen in mid to late summer. Flesh is typically light-colored and sweet. The variety is grown primarily in Mediterranean and warm-temperate regions. Little documented synonymy exists for this name in English-language fig literature, though local or historical names may vary by region. It is sometimes confused with other light-skinned varieties such as Panachée or Verdal cultivars.
