Napolitana Blanca

Claimed variety: Napolitana Blanca

[Reference entry - not a grower report] This post was generated automatically from public fig references to seed the variety archive. It is not anyone's first-hand growing experience, and the photos are generic Wikimedia images of Ficus carica, not of this specific variety. Corrections from real growers are welcome. Napolitana Blanca is commonly described as a white or pale-skinned fig variety with origins in southern Italy, particularly the Naples region. The fruit is reported to have thin skin with a yellowish or greenish-white ground colour, and white to pale pink flesh. It is typically a breba and main crop producer, with ripening occurring in mid to late summer. The variety is sometimes listed under Italian synonyms and may be confused with other pale Italian varieties such as Bianca or other white-fleshed Neapolitan selections. Documentation for this variety is limited in English-language literature; growers should verify identity against reliable Italian fig references when possible.
