Grabbed it as Black Madeira KK from a trusted PNW trader back in 2023, and this is my first 3 fruits this year.
Supposed to be: Black Madeira KK
Got it from: PNW trader, cutting that traces back to RC stock (supposedly)
Location: USA, PNW, zone 8b
How I'm growing it: 25L container in a greenhouse
What the fruit looks like: super dark purple, basically black
Inside: deep strawberry red, real jammy stuff
Here's what's bugging me: it ripened way earlier than my other known Black Madeira KK (mid-August versus late-September). Could just be young tree weirdness, but also could be mislabeled? Hard to say.
Definitely need some second opinions on this — especially if anyone's got a confirmed Black Madeira KK they can compare it to.

Cross-section color looks right for BMKK. The early ripening could be young-tree behavior — first 2-3 years often run early.

>>1 +1. But could also be regular Black Madeira (non-KK). Hard to tell without seeing leaf shape.

The skin color in your photo is super dark — that's a good sign. Some sellers ship regular BM as KK, and the difference is subtle but it's definitely real.
